What we do

Sonoran Sky Pediatrics is a general pediatrics practice.  We provide care for all children, including all well care, any acute illness, management of chronic medical conditions like asthma or ADHD, and we coordinate care for kids with complicated special health care needs.  If you would like to meet with one of our doctors to learn more about our practice before your child’s first visit, please feel free to schedule a visit to meet the doctor.

Additional services provided:   We can perform basic medical procedures in the office, such as nebulizer treatments, ear wax removal, foreign body removal from ears and little noses, circumcision, incision and drainage of smaller abscesses, wart removal and splinting of minor fractures.  At this time, we do not suture wounds or apply casts.

Who we are

Ruth E. Letizia, MD
I graduated from New York Medical College in 1998 and completed my Pediatric residency at Georgetown University Medical Center in 2001.  I worked in private practice in Northern Virginia for five years and moved to Arizona in 2006.   I opened our practice in November 2008, to help meet the growing need for quality pediatric care in the rapidly expanding east valley, especially for children with special health care needs.  I am married, with four beautiful children. My spare time is devoted to being a wife and a mom.  We are active in our church, but I love to read novels and cross-stitch when I have a few minutes to myself.

My-Linh H. Trinh, MD
I graduated from Creighton University's School of Medicine in 2007 and then graduated from Phoenix Children's Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center's Pediatric Residency Program in 2010. I have enjoyed working in Arizona and have been spoiled by the beautiful weather here. I enjoy spending time outdoors (hiking, learning to golf, and walking my Boston Terrier, Boba Fett). I am excited to work in Mesa and have a special interest in the area of child development and obesity.

Tamara M. Musso, MD
Originally from Maryland, I grew up in the Southeast. I attended Auburn University for my undergraduate studies, and earned my medical degree at the University of Alabama School of Medicine at Birmingham in 2004. I completed my internship and residency in pediatrics at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and Maricopa Medical Center in 2007. I am board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and am a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. I worked as a pediatric hospitalist for a year before joining Dr. Letizia and Dr. Trinh at Sonoran Sky Pediatrics in 2010. When not in the office, I enjoy reading, jogging, traveling, movies, and I love spending time with my husband and our toddler son. I look forward to working with you and your family!
